Hello Year 6. I am Mrs Devonald and I will be your Head of Year in September. My job involves lots of different things but, overall, I am responsible for helping you to get the best out of your time here at Walney School. I work closely with your form tutors, teachers, Mr Richardson and the Senior Leadership team, yourselves, sometimes with your parents and lots of other organisations that work with schools to ensure your wellbeing. You will see me lots on the first day so please ask me any questions you may have. I will be popping into your form rooms regularly but if you ever need to find me, I will probably be in F36, my science lab. You may have me as a science teacher and also as an outdoor learning teacher. If you fancy a bit of science club, I will be there too. I can't wait to meet you all in person and get to know my new year 7 year group. I have a feeling it's going to be a good one.
