The Walney Gazette

The Walney Gazette is an entirely student-run newspaper that reports on the daily life and special events of Walney School. It was formed 2020 by a small group of senior students and has now grown to incorporate students from all five year groups. It is headed up by two year nine students who co-edit and run the meetings to put out a termly issue. The Walney Gazette has regular features such as a mental health column, open evening coverage and a sports page but has also covered events such as school shows, the Jubilee and Futures Friday.
