Governance
Our team of Governors have three key functions:
- Setting the strategic direction of the school
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
- Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
Our school governors are drawn from different parts of the Furness area and consist of parents, carers, staff and members of our community. They are a voluntary group who strive to enable Walney School to be the best it can be and want our students to develop their potential to their full and to grow into successful, caring people.
